This Blog Will Not Change Your Life
I’ve heard many people say “that changed my life!” Well… I doubt it. Most people don’t change, and that’s because change takes hard and sometimes painful work that most people are averse to. Many are stuck in a survival mode, but every so often we get glimpses of what an extraordinary life might be. “That trip changed my life!” or “That event changed my life!”
No, those were the glimpses of a different path, when you let your defenses down long enough to feel and experience something different. But 9 times out of 10, people revert to the same behaviors in their relationships, friendships, career…
This isn’t because they don’t want to live another way, but how does one start to live differently without the knowledge on how to do so? Self help books, videos, blogs… are not going to do the trick. You don’t learn to swim, rock climb, juggle… by reading a book. You learn by doing. You can read all you like, but our behaviors become so ingrained over time, that we’re blind to how our actions have taken over our lives and define us, versus us choosing behaviors that would bring us closer to our goals and dreams. This is where coaches come into play. We don’t define you by your actions. We look at your essence and what you want to achieve, to give you the coaching that will move your life in the direction you really want.
This blog will not change your life, but I hope to share concepts that might give you some insight into yourself and of those around you, and perhaps motivate you to try coaching. And I would like to acknowledge that the foundation of many of the concepts I’ll present to you have originated from my learnings with my own coach, without a doubt one of the best, Breck Costin.
Thanks for reading and welcome to the start of my blog!
